Origo has increased the level of alert in accordance with the state of emergency announcement made by The Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
One part of Origo’s emergency response plan, under the ISO 27001 Information Security Management, concerns disease and has three levels:
The plan follows the alert levels of WHO and The Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management as well as taking into account the recommendations of The Directorate of Health/Disease Prevention.
Uncertainty Phase was declared at the end of January, Alert Phase declared on February 28 and Emergency Phase was declared on March 8, following announcements from The Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management and The Directorate of Health/Disease Prevention. Origo’s employees have been informed about the response plan and notified accordingly.
Origo has also, in accordance with the response plan, taken the following steps: Defined groups of employees that take turns working at the Origo offices and workplaces as well as assigning specific groups to teleworking. This is done to minimize risk of group contagion.
Conferences, introductions and travels have been temporarily postponed to secure employees and operations.
It is important that all employees unite in minimizing the risk of contagion and part of that is keeping contact between departments and internal units to bare minimum.
Most of Origo's employees are working from home. Other employees and customers that visit the store, warehouse or workshop should keep distance between them as recommended by The Directorate of Disease Prevention.
Emphasis is on electronic communication instead of conventional meetings. Employees returning from trips abroad are required to consult their nearest superior.
Visits from suppliers limited as much as possible.
