Jón Björnsson


Jón has extensive experience in company management and transformation projects, both in Iceland and in Scandinavia. Most recently, Jón served as the CEO of Festi and Krónan since 2014, and he was previously the CEO of Magasin du Nord and Hagar since 2002. Jón serves on the boards of Boozt.com among others.

Jón has a business administration degree from Rider University, New Jersey.

Dröfn has a long track record in the field of human resources. She worked as Director of Education at Reykjavik Preschools and later as a human resources consultant at Reykjavik City’s Education Field following the merger of preschools and elementary schools from 2003-2007, as a human resources consultant for Straumur Investment Bank from 2007-2009, director of education at Arion Bank from 2009-2011 and worked as a human resources manager at the Financial Supervisory Authority (FME) from 2012-2013.

Dröfn graduated with a B.A. in psychology from the University of Iceland and went on to pursue post-graduate studies in psychology focusing on work and organizational psychology at the University of Giessen in Germany.

Gunnar was CFO for Iceland Express 2011- 2012 and CFO for Landic Property hf. 2006-2010. Earlier Gunnar worked as a Client Executive for HSH Nordbank AG in Copenhagen and as a specialist for Icebank hf. and VBS Investment Bank.

Gunnar holds a B.S.c in Finance and Economics from the University of Iceland, M.s.c in finance from Reykjavík University and is a licensed securities broker.

Jón Mikael was previously the managing director of Danól from 2017 and worked at Ölgerðin and its associate companies for 20 years. There he held various senior management positions, including sales and marketing manager, brand manager and managing director of Danól.

Jón Mikael holds degrees in business administration from Reykjavik and Erasmus University in the Netherlands.

Örn has extensive experience in the area of IT management and operations. He was previously a long-time manager at EJS and later Advania, where he was responsible for sales and coordinating the company's marketing strategy. Most recently, Örn served as the managing director of the glass manufacturer Samverk.

Örn holds a business degree from the University of Reykjavik.

Ingimar began working in the software department in February 1998 and later worked at Applicon ehf. until August 2006, when Ingimar took the position of Managing Director for Applicon Solutions Ltd. in the UK.

Ingimar holds a B.Sc. in industrial and mechanical engineering and an MBA from IESE in Barcelona.

Arna joined Origo's Healthcare Solutions in November 2020 as the head of Sales and Marketing before taking over the position of Managing Director. Arna has extensive experience in the field of healthcare, including as a Key Account Manager at Medor.

Arna has a bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Reykjavik University and a master's degree in Business Management from the same school.
