Changes have been made at Origo hf. which are designed to simplify the organisational structure, improve customer service and strengthen the operations. Under the new structure, a new division, Service Solutions, will essentially take over the responsibilities of Operation and Infrastructure and have the main role of assisting customers in choosing IT solutions as well as supporting and managing customer's IT infrastructure. The Business Development division will be discontinued and its functions transferred to Service Solutions, and so will certain functions of Software Solutions, including security solutions and other software solutions from third party partners.
Örn Alfreðsson, who has led Business Development since the end of last year, will be the managing director of Service Solutions. Linda B. Waage, who has headed Operation and Infrastructure in recent months, will continue to lead key teams at the new division. After the change, Origo's operations will be divided into four profit centres and two support units, namely End-User Solutions, Software Solutions, Business Solutions, and the newly established Services Solutions, all supported by Human Resources and Finances.
