Jón Mikael's role will be to strengthen Origo's End-User Solutions, which sells various types of computer equipment, audio and video solutions, POS systems, printing solutions and ATM systems. End-User Solutions is the exclusive Iceland reseller of various world-renowned brands such as Lenovo, Canon, Sony and Bose.
There is good demand for solutions and products in End-User Solutions and the unit's revenue increased by 10.4% in the first half of the year, totalling ISK 3.9 billion over the period.
Jón Mikael is delighted to have joined Origo and assumed his new role in September. Jón Mikael joins Origo from Ölgerðin, where he served as the managing director of Danól since 2017. He has worked at Ölgerðin and its associate companies for the past 20 years, where he held various management positions. Jón Mikael holds degrees in business administration from Reykjavik University and Erasmus University in the Netherlands.
